What is Sustainable Solutions?

Students are challenged to apply sustainable approaches to issues engineers face everyday. Using sustainable principles and Envisions as the framework, they work to fully design the best site applying skills learned in courses and skills used daily in the field.

Some skills include:

  • Civil3D, AutoCad, SketchUp

  • Envisions

  • Budgeting and Estimating

  • Urban Planning

  • Problem Solving

  • Presentation and Report Writing

Who are we?

This team is comprised of students with different backgrounds and experience. Anyone with a willingness to think out ideas and problem solve is encouraged to join!

The team values hearing all voices. Several perspectives allow our output to be unique and well thought out. Each design element is deliberate and crucial to the overall efficiency of the project.

We hold the honor of receiving first place in the 2025 Region 2 West Symposium Sustainable Solutions Competition. We later received third place in overall Sustainability in Championships, and twelfth overall in the nation.
